Helping Hands & Reading Hearts – A Child, Parent and School Partnership

This initiative encourages children to lend a hand at home through simple tasks, building responsibility and care.  In return, parents read stories for at least 6 minutes a day, nurturing a love for books. Together, these habits develop life skills, confidence, and values that shape kind, capable learners. In turn, each child shares their experiences and stories with classmates, creating a culture of confidence and curiosity. Helping Hands & Reading Hearts.

StoriesbyChildren – Stories By Children

SAPS have partnered with Storiesbychildren.com, a platform created for young writers to share their original work and for young readers to discover new and exciting stories written by children from all over the world. They also provide opportunities to publish books of young authors. Our children are encouraged to participate and contribute.

INKspire – The English Club

Our Writer’s Club, INKSPIRE, provides a vibrant platform for young minds to express themselves through creative writing, poetry, and public speaking. It’s where voices are nurtured and stories come alive.

Buddy Speak in English

At SAPS, our Buddy Speak campaign encourages students to converse in English every day. English teachers greet students with “Buddy Speak” instead of the usual “Good Morning,” motivating them to practice speaking confidently and naturally in a fun, supportive environment.

Speak Magic

This program places kindness and respect at the heart of every student’s behaviour—at school, at home, and in the community. Students are encouraged to practice the Magic Words daily until they become a natural habit. Through this, we aim to nurture children who are not only academically strong but also thoughtful, polite, and respectful in their interactions.

The SAPS Visitor Initiative

At SAPS, learning blends fun, family, and friendship. In this program, a special SAPS Visitor (a teddy) spends two evenings with each family, joining in games, meals, and bedtime stories. Children then capture the experience in writing and share it with their classmates, strengthening both written and spoken communication skills. This joyful initiative builds creativity, nurtures family bonds, and turns simple moments into lasting memories.

Themed Assemblies

Themed assemblies create a vibrant platform for students to explore ideas beyond textbooks. They foster confidence, teamwork, and public speaking skills through creative expression. By aligning with cultural, social, or academic themes, assemblies deepen understanding and relevance. They also build a strong sense of community and school spirit.

Special Assemblies

Celebrating cultural days and hosting special assemblies at SAPS enriches students’ understanding of diversity and tradition. These events foster respect, inclusion, and pride in one’s heritage while exposing learners to global perspectives. Through music, dance, drama, and storytelling, students express creativity and build confidence. They also strengthen community bonds and make school life vibrant and meaningful.

Single File System

To keep school bags light and manageable, students use one file containing all subjects, ensuring everything stays organized and easy to carry.
