Experiential Learning & Learning Labs

We believe in learning by doing. Our labs provide students with hands-on experiences in science, mathematics, and technology, enabling them to explore concepts through experimentation and problem-solving. This approach not only enhances conceptual clarity but also ignites curiosity and innovation.

Divergent, Art Integrated Learning

Students explore what would happen if gravity suddenly stopped working for one day while students brainstorm multiple storylines, settings, and character reactions. Students explore solar, wind, hydro, kinetic, and even imaginative sources as they think ways they can generate electricity without using fossil fuels. They design a park using geometric shapes and different layouts they can create using only triangles and circles. In Art Project they draw a tree—but not the way it looks in real life. What if it grew upside down, or had rainbow leaves? Which sparks imagination and visual experimentation.

No Bag Day: Learning Beyond the Classroom

At SAPS, we understand that true learning goes beyond textbooks and notebooks. That’s why, once a week, we celebrate No Bag Day—a special opportunity for students to leave their school bags at home and engage in experiential learning, team-building activities, and life skills development. On this day, students participate in hands-on projects, problem-solving challenges, and collaborative tasks that foster creativity, communication, and leadership. No Bag Day encourages students to explore new interests, build meaningful relationships, and develop confidence in real-world situations, all while having fun in a supportive environment.

Individualised Learning Plans

Recognising that each student is unique, we develop personalised learning plans that cater to individual strengths and areas of improvement. These plans are regularly reviewed and adjusted to ensure optimal learning outcomes, supporting students in achieving their full potential.

Zero Period: Explore, Create, Compete

Our Zero Period programme, held once a week, offers students the chance to dive deeper into areas of personal interest beyond the regular curriculum. Small, focused groups such as Language Writers and Speakers, Science Research Club, Sports, Music, and Maths provide students with the space to explore their talents, collaborate with like-minded peers, and enhance their skills. Whether it’s preparing for competitions, conducting experiments, or composing original pieces, Zero Period empowers students to take ownership of their learning journey, build confidence, and cultivate lifelong interests.

Science Monthly – Hands-On Activities

Our monthly science sessions encourage students to explore sustainability and innovation. Activities include making organic cleaners, crafting handmade paper from recycled materials, and other eco-conscious experiments that foster scientific thinking and environmental responsibility.

Role Play

Role play is more than just imaginative fun—it’s a powerful learning tool. By engaging in sensory-rich, experiential scenarios, students absorb lessons from the world around them and develop empathy, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Peer-to-Peer Learning

We promote peer-to-peer interaction to build one-on-one connections, enhance critical thinking, foster teamwork, and improve student involvement. This approach also nurtures confidence and teaches essential self-management skills, preparing students to thrive both academically and socially.

Remedial Learning

At SAPS, we recognize that each child learns at their own pace. To ensure every student thrives:

• Individual Learning Plans (ILPs): Tailored plans for students who need extra support or advanced challenges.
• Data-Driven Grouping: Assessment results guide student grouping and differentiated tasks to meet diverse learning needs.
• Remedial & Enrichment Clubs: Specialized clubs in literacy, STEM, and the arts provide additional support or advanced learning opportunities.

E-Assessments (Grade 7 to 10)

Our e-assessment app empowers students to prepare for board exams through mock tests and instant feedback. With real-time progress tracking and performance analytics, students gain confidence as they master key concepts. Designed for convenience and engagement, the app makes exam prep smarter, not harder.
